first meet on saturday, and by first meet i mean the first time i have met anyone from any of these sites.

it was supposed to be an hour. coffee, daylight, busy place, told a friend, all the boring correct stuff.

four hours. we went from the cafe to a walk to a second place to eat and i missed the train i had planned to get. easiest conversation i have had with a stranger in years.

and here is the thing. not one word of it touched anything to do with why either of us was on that site. not one. we talked about her work and my ridiculous flat and a film neither of us liked. it was, by any measure, a lovely afternoon between two normal people.

so what is that? is it a good sign, in that we obviously get on? or have we both quietly avoided the actual subject, in which case somebody is going to have to raise it eventually and it will be strange by then.

second meeting is being discussed. would like to know what people think before i arrange it.

What the handbook says about this

Most arguments on this board are about timing. When to ask for the call, when to stop talking and pick a cafe, and what to do with the hour once it exists. The rest are about the arrangements, which is where the board stops disagreeing.
