pattern i keep hitting and it is a stupid one.
first message: good. i can do a first message, i have had plenty of practice.
second and third: also fine. there is material, because their profile said things and i can ask about the things.
day four: nothing. absolutely nothing. i sit there with the box open and every sentence i can think of is either a question i have already asked or something so bland i delete it before sending. and then the gap gets long enough to be a thing in itself, and then it dies.
this has happened enough times now that it is clearly me rather than them.
so is the answer better questions, or is the answer that four days of text is the natural length of this stage and i am supposed to be doing something else by then? asking because i suspect i already know and do not want to.
