The last three people I wrote to all know each other. I found this out in the way you always find it out here, which is that one of them mentioned something about another one that they could only have heard from the third.
Thirty seven, switch, west end, ten years in.
I am not upset about it. It is a city of this size and this is how it works. What I have decided is that I would rather everybody behaved as though it were true from the start, because the alternative is people being careful with information that has already travelled. So I will not repeat anything you tell me, I expect the same, and if we stop then we stop like adults who are going to be in the same rooms as each other for the next twenty years.
What I want is one person, both directions, something ongoing rather than an evening. I lead a bit more often than I follow. My own flat, no complications, free most nights.
Not looking for anybody who wants it so quiet that we could not acknowledge each other in public. Not looking for a person who talks. Not looking for somebody who will be strange with me afterwards, which I understand is not a thing anyone can promise, and I am asking anyway.
