I am not going to teach you the basics, and I am done apologising

- Looking for
- somebody with real experience who does not need anything explained
- Experience
- Twenty one years. Very little patience remaining.
- Around
- uptown, Dallas
Three quarters of the messages I received this year came from people under a year into this who were looking for guidance. That is a perfectly reasonable thing to want. It is not a thing I am offering, it has never been a thing I offered, and it is not what my post says.
Forty five, uptown, dominant, twenty one years. What I want is somebody with a decade or more behind them who arrives knowing their own limits, their own vocabulary and their own patterns, and who does not need me to build them a foundation before we can get anywhere interesting.
This is not snobbery about newcomers. Teaching is real work, it is a particular skill, and there are people who love it and are good at it. I did it for about six years and discovered that I resent it, and that resentment inside a dynamic is corrosive in a way that being blunt in an advertisement is not.
What I actually want: a long arrangement with a great deal of protocol in it, held to a standard I do not have to keep explaining. Someone whose reports are accurate. Someone who can tell me they are struggling before it becomes a mess rather than after.
I am not cold. I am extremely warm with people I have chosen. I am simply finished with the first six months of somebody's education. Not looking for a beginner who is a fast learner. Not looking for someone who has read a great deal and considers that experience. Not looking to be argued with about this in the first message, which happens more than you would believe.
