I am writing this and he has been given one line at the end, which is roughly the arrangement in our house. Forty seven and fifty, married sixteen years, west end. I lead. He serves. That has been settled for a decade and it is not what this post is about.
What we are looking for is one submissive woman for a defined role in our household. Regular evenings, standing duties, and an agreement in writing that all three of us sign and revisit twice a year. She would answer to me. She would work alongside him rather than under him, and the two of them would have their own understanding of that which I would not be micromanaging.
We had one arrangement like this, for four years. It ended when she moved south for a job. She was at our table last Christmas, which I mention because it says more than anything else I could write here.
Not looking for anybody who wants to be in charge of him. Not looking for a person who wants a romance with either of us. Not looking for somebody who would be uncomfortable taking instruction from a woman, which sounds obvious and which two people turned out not to have thought about.
His line: everything above is accurate, and I would add that she is far kinder than this post makes her sound, and that the four years worked because all three of us said awkward things early rather than politely leaving them until they had gone off.
