His mother is two closes along, my sister is round the corner, and between us we are related to about a third of this street. That is the whole reason this post is careful and there is nothing else careful about us.
Thirty seven and forty, together nine years, east end. He leads, I do not, and this has been in our marriage since roughly the second year of it.
What we would like is another couple. Not a third, which we have discussed at length and neither of us wants. Another couple in the same position, where all four people are actually in it rather than one being brought along to keep somebody happy.
Honestly, what we want first is friends. Nine years and we have never spoken to another soul about any of it, and it is a strange thing to have something that size inside a marriage with nobody to mention it to. Dinner with people who understand, and nothing expected afterwards, would already justify the post.
Not looking for anyone connected to people we know, and in this city that is a genuine risk rather than a polite worry. Not looking for a single man, and we are sorry, we know that is most of the board. Not looking for a couple who want to skip the part where we find out whether we actually like each other. And not looking for anybody who would want us to travel far, because between his shifts and my mother we are not people who can disappear for a whole weekend.
