I write these because he would undersell us. Married eleven years, both late thirties, Houston.
The arrangement here is that he is mine and has been for six years, it works, and neither of us is looking to change it. What we are looking for is a second man who would come into that structure rather than sit alongside it. We had this before for nearly two years and it ended when he moved home to look after a parent, which was the right decision and still a loss. So: obedience to me, cooperation with him, and no competition between the two of you, because I will not referee that. If you are the sort of person who needs to be the favourite, this arrangement will make you miserable and quickly.
He has asked to add a paragraph, so here it is, in his words. "It is not what people assume. She is in charge, I am not being replaced, and the last time we did this I ended up with a friend I still talk to every week.
