Houston couple, invisible all summer, free from October

From May to September we work outdoors in this heat and there is nothing left of either of us at the end of a day. From October it breaks and we become people again. That rhythm runs our whole lives and it runs this too.
Both of us are in our late forties. Twenty one years together. We came into this five years ago through her, slowly, and it has been good for us in ways that are difficult to explain to anybody who assumes a couple doing this must be in trouble. What we want is somebody to know over a winter. That means October through March, when we have time, the evenings are bearable and neither of us is asleep in a chair by nine. We are not looking for a summer arrangement. In the summer we are unavailable and short tempered.
She is submissive. He switches and is mostly the organiser. What we have enjoyed most in the past was a dominant woman who took charge of both of us for a weekend and then went home, and we would happily find that again, though we are open about other shapes it could take. Discretion on our street is its own particular thing. Everybody knows everybody, nobody ever moves away, and the people we grew up with still live four doors down. Anywhere in the city is reachable with notice and we would far rather drive an hour than have somebody come to us.
