Young couple, east, and we do not know what we are doing

We are twenty six and twenty seven, together three years, and we have spent six months trying things at home with nothing to go on except the internet, which we now understand is not a great teacher.
Nothing has gone wrong. That is sort of the problem. We cannot tell whether we are being careful or simply lucky, and neither of us can work it out from the inside. Twice we have stopped halfway through because one of us was uneasy and could not say why, and both times it took the rest of the evening to talk about.
So what we are looking for is a couple further along who would be willing to know us. Not to instruct us, and definitely not to join in. People we could ask stupid questions of, over coffee, without either of us feeling like a novelty item.
We both work shifts, opposite ones half the time, so we are around at odd hours and hopeless at planning more than a fortnight out. East London, neither of us drives. We know how this reads. Two young people asking to be adopted. But everything we have read says find people, and we have no idea how to find people other than by asking.
Please do not write offering to train us. We can tell the difference between that and what we are asking for, and we have had four of the first kind already.
