I have known what I am since I was about nineteen and I have done nothing about it for forty three years. Not out of shame exactly. Out of an ordinary sort of cowardice that made it easy to be busy instead.
Sixty two, the Westside, submissive, never married, no children, and a career I gave rather more of my life to than it deserved. I retired in the spring and discovered a great deal of time had opened up with nothing in it.
So I am starting very late from nothing. I know the words. I have never knelt for a living person. I have never negotiated anything with anyone. I am aware that the gap between reading and doing is the entire subject.
What I would like is a dominant content to go slowly and to explain, and who does not find the whole situation quaint. I am not a project and I am not a novelty. I am fit, I read constantly, I have a dry sense of humor that people either enjoy or find rude, and I have a car and a house and no obligations to anybody.
I would rather meet somewhere public in daylight and talk for an hour with nothing attached to it. If we both want a second hour, good. If not, I would like to be told so directly. At my age the one thing I genuinely cannot be bothered with is being managed.
