First year in Madrid, and this is finally possible

- Two years of reading. Nothing at all in a room.

- Lavapiés, Madrid
I grew up in a town of four thousand people in Extremadura where everyone knew whose daughter I was before I opened my mouth. I moved to Madrid eleven months ago for work and I still have not got over the fact that I can walk down a street here and nobody is going to mention it to my aunt.
Twenty seven, switch, or at least I think switch, on the evidence of two years of reading and no evidence at all of the other kind. I share a flat with three people I like and I am out most evenings simply because I can be.
What I would like is to start with a long conversation and no expectation attached to it. I am not nervous about the activities. I am nervous about being new in a city where everyone else seems to have known each other for a decade, and about being obvious about it.
I lean towards leading more than I expected to, which surprised me and has taken some getting used to. I would like to try both with somebody patient enough to let me be bad at one of them.
I can meet late, I can meet at the weekend, I cannot host and will not be able to for some time. I would rather not talk to anyone who wants to be my education in a way that involves them making all the decisions about what the education contains. I have had enough of that from where I come from.
