Dutch, here five months every winter, and we would like to belong

We arrive in the second week of October and we leave in the middle of March, and we have been doing it for six years. In the Netherlands we have a circle we have known for a decade. Here we have a very nice flat, more light in January than we get at home all year, and almost nobody to talk to.
We are fifty seven and sixty, married twenty six years, and this has been part of us for the last eight, which we came to embarrassingly late and are glad we came to at all. She leads. I do not.
The difficulty is exactly the one that every year round person in this city has already thought of, and we do not blame them for it. Five months is not enough for most people to invest in. We would say two things about that. The first is that five months is longer than most things on a board like this actually last. The second is that we come back, every year, to the same flat, and we have every intention of doing so until we cannot.
What we want is friendship in this, and possibly a couple we could see regularly, and we are honestly more interested in the dinners than in anything else. We speak Dutch, English and enough Spanish to be polite and not enough to be interesting, and we are working on the third one properly.
Not looking for anything that would need to be explained to our neighbours here, who are lovely and who we will be seeing every winter for the rest of our lives.
