We have a spare room, which apparently makes us unusual here

- Looking for
- people who need somewhere and are worth having in our house
- Experience
- Fifteen years together, nine in this, plenty of hosting.
- Around
- south of the city, Miami
Half the messages we get eventually arrive at the same question, which is where. Everybody in this city seems to have roommates, a partner who does not know, a landlord who visits, or a lease with three names on it. We bought a small house out south seven years ago and we have a spare room, and it turns out that is the rarest thing we have to offer.
Forty five and forty seven, together fifteen years, nine of them with this.
We are saying it plainly because we would rather be useful than mysterious. We host. We are good at it. There is a room, there is a lock, there is coffee in the morning and nobody is going to walk in.
What we want in return is not complicated and it is also not nothing. People we actually like. Somebody who treats our home as a home rather than a venue, who turns up when they said they would, and who understands that being welcome once is not a standing arrangement.
We are looking for another couple, or two individuals who know each other, for evenings that start with food and are not on a schedule.
We are both experienced and neither of us is looking to teach. And if the room is the entire appeal, we will work that out by the second evening and it will be a short friendship.
