I drive all day, my shift ends when it ends, and never at seven

- somebody who is not offended by a message that says running late again
- Experience
- Four years, one dynamic, ended by exhaustion rather than by anybody's fault.
- Around
- the near suburbs, Moscow
Traffic decides my evenings. I finish when the last drop is done, and that has been anywhere between four in the afternoon and nine at night, and I have no way of knowing which until about an hour before. In four years I have never once been able to say with confidence what time I would be anywhere.
Thirty one, switch, the near suburbs. One dynamic of fourteen months that ended because I was too tired to hold up my end of it and too proud to say so until it was too late. I would handle that differently now, which is most of what I have to show for it.
Here is my offer, such as it is. I am reliable about things that are not time bound. Give me a rule and I will keep it for months. Give me a task with a deadline of a day rather than an hour and it will be done. Give me an appointment at seven and I will be apologising by half past six.
Sundays I am genuinely free and genuinely awake. That is the day to build anything on. I lead and I follow and I have no strong feeling about the ratio, though I am probably better at following after a long week and better at leading after a short one. Not looking for anybody who reads lateness as disrespect, because it will happen and it is not. Not looking for evening plans on weekdays. Not looking to be told I should find a different job, which I have heard and considered and decided against.
