I get next month's shifts about ten days before the month starts. That is the whole administrative shape of my life, and it means I cannot promise you a Thursday until the middle of the preceding month, every month, indefinitely.
Thirty four, submissive, inside the ring road, seven years in. The four year dynamic worked precisely because she stopped trying to schedule us and started giving me things that did not depend on a calendar. Daily expectations. Written reports she read properly. Rules about what I did with the hour after a bad shift, which is the hour I am most likely to do something stupid with.
I am extremely calm under pressure and fairly poor at deciding what to eat. Those two things live in the same person and I have given up being surprised by it. What I want from a dominant is exactly what I am good at giving my patients: attention to detail, no theatre, and an assumption that I will tell you the truth if you ask me a precise question.
I am blunt in writing and quieter in person. I do not do titles in public and I am not going to be talked round on it, because I work in a small profession and I am careful.
Not looking for anyone who needs a reply within an hour. Not looking for a dynamic where availability is the measure of commitment. Not looking to explain, again, that I cannot swap a shift because somebody has booked a table.
