He works nights and I work a rotating shift, and the overlap in which we are both awake, both at home and both free is Wednesday afternoon. That is the whole of it. Everything we have built in three years has happened inside that window and we have got extremely efficient about it.
We are thirty three and thirty six, in Paris, together seven years. I lead, he does not, and we have been open about it between ourselves since the third year.
What we are looking for is a third person for something regular and long term, and the only real requirement is the one nobody can meet: being free in the middle of a Wednesday. We know how narrow that is. It rules out anybody with a normal job, which is most people, and leaves students, shift workers, people who work from home with flexibility, the self employed and the retired.
We would want it to start as friendship. Coffee, a few afternoons of just talking, and no assumption that anything follows. We are not looking to replace anybody or to add a permanent member of the household. We are looking for one person who fits into a very specific hole in the week and who would rather that than nothing.
We are both quite matter of fact and neither of us is any good at flirting. He is funnier than me and he will not answer messages, so you will be dealing with me for a while and then meeting both of us.
