Both retired, both in this for decades, and rather useful

Between us we have about seventy years of this, and since we both retired we have found ourselves with a great deal of time and a growing sense that most of what we know is going to go to waste.
We are sixty four and sixty seven, together thirty one years, just outside Paris. He leads, I do not, and it has been that way since before we met each other, which is a slightly unusual origin and one we are happy to explain over a long lunch.
What we are offering is not a dynamic and it is not play. It is company and answers. If you are new, or coming back after a long time away, or you have questions you feel foolish asking on a public board, we would be glad to know you. We have a house, we cook enormous meals, and we have the afternoons free that nobody else does.
We want to be careful about how this is framed, because experienced people offering to help newer ones has a poor history and everybody knows it. So: nothing physical is on offer, at all, ever, and we will say so again if it comes up. If you would like to bring somebody with you the first time, please do.
We would also be glad simply to make friends our own age, and that half of this post gets far fewer replies than the other. Not looking to be anybody's only source of information, and we will tell you when we are out of our depth, which happens more than you would think after seventy years.
