Three weeks away, one week home. That is my roster, it has been for four years, and it is the single reason I am still on my own.
Thirty nine, the west when I am here, submissive, eight years in. When I am away I am genuinely away: remote site, long days, phone signal that comes and goes without warning. When I am home I have seven days with nothing in them, which after the first two is a lot of empty house.
What actually works, and I know because it worked for two years with somebody who has since moved on, is a dominant who treats the away weeks as the main event. Tasks I do on site. A daily report. Rules about sleep and food that matter far more out there than they do here. Then the home week is when we see each other properly, several times, as the reward rather than the whole arrangement.
What does not work is somebody who wants a normal weekly rhythm and believes they can tolerate the roster. Three people have believed that about themselves and none of them made it past the second cycle.
I am plain spoken and not very complicated. I want structure, I want to be useful, and I want somebody to answer to when I am a long way from anyone. Not looking for anybody who needs to see me weekly. Not looking to be somebody's occasional. Not looking to talk about what the job pays, which is the first thing most people ask and the least interesting part of it.
