Nothing that shows. That is the one hard rule and it has been in every conversation I have had about this for eight years. I teach, my face is in front of people all day, and the amount of speculation a single mark on a wrist can generate in a staff room is genuinely remarkable.
For five months of the year it is easy. From November I am in sleeves and a coat and nobody would notice anything at all. The other seven months are the negotiation, and every single summer I have had to have the same conversation again with somebody who had decided the rule must have softened.
Thirty six, downtown, submissive, eight years in with two long dynamics. I am not squeamish. I like a great deal of what people assume the rule excludes, and there is far more available inside it than most people expect once they stop treating it as an obstacle to be got around.
What I want now is something ongoing with somebody in their forties or older, with enough experience to work creatively inside a constraint rather than sighing at it. I respond to authority that is quiet and consistent. I do not respond at all to anybody who needs an audience.
Practical: downtown, I live alone in a small place, I can host but the neighbours are close. Not looking for anybody who will suggest the tops of the thighs as though I had not thought of it. Not looking for anybody who wants photographs. Not looking for a person who treats the rule as an opening position.
