I moved here from Quebec and this city is polite, not honest

- the west end, Toronto
I grew up in Quebec and I have been here five years, and the thing I still cannot get used to is that people here will say yes to something they have no intention of doing rather than say no to your face. I have had four conversations end in enthusiasm and then silence. Where I am from you would have been told no in the first ten minutes and you could have gone home.
Thirty three, the west end, submissive, seven years in. My English is fine and my French is better, and if you move between them as well then we will probably enjoy each other, though it is not a requirement.
What I want is a dominant who says the unpleasant thing. If you have decided against me, tell me. If I have done something badly, tell me at the time and not in a summary three weeks later. If you want something and think it will make you sound strange, say it anyway, because it will not.
Beyond that: a real ongoing dynamic, weekly if the geography allows it, with authority I can feel rather than authority that gets announced. I am direct, I am told I am blunt, and I am aware that reads as rude in this city. I am not being rude. I am being efficient with both our time.
Not looking for anybody who needs to be managed emotionally through a disagreement. Not looking for the person who tells me I would love the winter if I only learned to ski.
