I am an accountant. From the end of January until the beginning of May I work six days a week and most of a seventh, and I am, by any honest measure, not a person during that period. This has ended one dynamic and badly strained another, and on both occasions I had failed to warn anybody properly beforehand.
So: forty five, North York, submissive, eleven years in. Nine months of the year I am attentive, punctual and reasonable company. Three months of the year I am a series of apologies.
The obvious answer is somebody who is also flat out in the same season, and I would take that gladly. The less obvious answer, and the one that has actually worked once, is a dominant who converts the busy months into something else entirely. That year I had daily tasks that took four minutes each, a check in every night regardless of anything, and no expectation of meeting at all between February and April. It was the best stretch I have had, because for once the structure had been designed for my life rather than in spite of it.
I want a long arrangement, not an occasional one. I am dull, dependable and reasonably funny after nine at night.
Not looking for anybody who will take the busy season personally, and I say that with real sympathy, because the last person had every right to want more than I could give and we both knew it by March.
