Two hours on a Wednesday afternoon. That is the entire offer and I have stopped dressing it up as something more generous.
Thirty seven, switch, Noord, nine years in this and two years away from it since our child arrived. My partner knows, is not involved, and has never wanted to be.
What has changed is the arithmetic. I used to have evenings. I now have one predictable window a week and the occasional Saturday morning if two other things happen to line up. I would rather be honest and get three replies than vague and waste everybody's month.
Inside those two hours I want something real rather than a catch up. I lead about two thirds of the time and I like a set structure, so that we are not spending the first twenty minutes deciding what this is.
Not looking for daily messages, because I will read them and not answer and you will draw conclusions. Not looking for anybody who keeps suggesting evenings after I have explained. Not looking for someone who thinks two hours a week cannot build into anything substantial, since two hours a week for two years is more time than most of the intense things I did in my twenties.
