The far edge of the city, fifty three, switch, wind and not much else

- Looking for
- someone who understands that out here everything is a project
- Experience
- Twenty years, both roles, long gaps between people.
- Around
- the far west of the city, Berlin
Out at my end of the city the wind decides things. It is flat, it is empty, and there is nothing between here and the fields to slow it down. The middle of town is an hour and two changes, which makes going there a plan rather than an outing. Everything in my life takes an extra hour and I have stopped minding.
Fifty three, switch, twenty years in this with long gaps because of where I live. I keep animals, which further limits how long I can be away, and that is a genuine constraint rather than an excuse. I lead and I follow and I have never been able to say which I prefer. With the right person it changes within an evening, and that is my favourite thing about any of it.
What I want is somebody willing to come out here and stay a couple of days, or somebody at this end of the city I have not met yet, which given how few people get off at my station would be a small miracle. I can travel in occasionally, not often.
I like rope, cold, being outdoors where it is legal and private to be, long silences, and being spoken to firmly. I do not like crowds, the middle of this city for more than an afternoon, or anything requiring me to be in a particular place at a particular minute.
Fifty three sounds old on this board and it is not. I am fitter than most people I know at forty and I intend to be doing this in twenty years. If you write, tell me something real. I have plenty of time out here and very little patience for small talk.
