We will drive an hour, and we would like it to go both ways

- Looking for
- another couple within about an hour who will occasionally come to us
- Experience
- Twenty three years together, twelve with a structure between us.
- Around
- out towards Worcestershire, Birmingham
We have driven into Birmingham eleven times in the last two years to meet people, and the number of times anybody has driven out to us is zero. Nobody has been rude about it. It simply appears to be assumed that the people who live out in the county are the ones who travel.
Two women, fifty three and fifty six, out towards Worcestershire, together twenty three years.
We do not mind the drive. We have a decent car and the roads run empty in our direction. What we mind slightly is the assumption, and more practically the fact that every meeting therefore happens on somebody else's terms and we are always the pair watching the clock at half past ten.
What we are looking for is another couple, within about an hour of us in any direction, for something that becomes regular. One of us leads and one does not, and we would be interested in a couple arranged either way round. We have plenty of room, we like feeding people, and out here there is nobody within earshot of anything.
Not looking for anybody who wants a single evening. Not looking for four people who need to be dramatic about it. And if you live in the city and driving out for an evening sounds like an expedition, that is completely fair, and it does mean we are probably not for each other.
