Short and often suits me far better than long and rare

Everything about how this is usually arranged assumes a block of hours. An evening. A weekend. Something you clear the calendar for and then build up to for a fortnight. I have done it that way for five years and I have worked out that I do not like it.
What I like is small and frequent. Half an hour before work. Twenty minutes at the end of a day. A short, contained thing that happens four times a week rather than a production that happens twice a month. The anticipation everybody else seems to enjoy is the part I find unbearable, because by the time the evening arrives I have thought about it so much that I am exhausted.
Twenty nine, uptown, switch, five years. Both directions, fairly even, and I have noticed that I prefer leading in the short format and following in the longer one, which I cannot explain.
The obvious consequence is that this only works with somebody close by. Uptown, or near the middle of town, or anywhere I can reach in fifteen minutes. I know that is a small circle in a metro this size. I live alone in a small place and I can host, quietly, at short notice, which is most of what this arrangement needs.
Not looking for anyone who wants to plan a weekend away. Not looking for someone who finds the format unromantic, which it might be, and which suits me. Not looking for something that only happens at the weekend.
