I sit at a bench with eleven other people, so nothing during the day

- Looking for
- somebody who does not need answering between nine and six
- Experience
- Nine years, both sides, one dynamic ended by a message read over my shoulder.
- Around
- uptown, Dallas
Our floor has no walls, no doors and no assigned desks. I sit at a long bench with eleven other people, anybody walking behind me can read my screen and my phone, and somebody once did, which is how a good arrangement ended two years ago.
Thirty, uptown, switch, nine years, both directions and slightly more time leading lately. What that morning did to me was permanent. I do not look at anything personal between nine and six now, and I will not be talked round by somebody who is confident a discreet message is possible. It is not caution. There is nowhere in that building to be careful.
So I need a person who can go nine hours without an answer and not build a story out of the silence. Evenings I am completely present and usually awake late. Weekends are open. It is a very specific hole in the day and it is not going to move.
What I want is a long, even switch dynamic with one person. I like protocol, I like rules written down because I can read them at home, and I have almost no appetite for anything heavy in either direction. Both of my longest stretches were with other switches, which I suspect is not a coincidence.
Not looking for anybody who wants contact through the working day. Not looking for someone who will test whether the rule is real, which two people have. Not looking to explain it a third time.
