Deaf, submissive, and most of this happens in rooms with the lights low

I lip read well and I hear a little with aids, and both of those things stop working in precisely the conditions this world likes. Low light, faces turned away, somebody speaking from behind me. That is the entire practical content of this post.
Thirty eight, Eimsbüttel, submissive, nine years in. I have never been with a deaf partner and I am not looking for one specifically. What I need is somebody who will face me, keep a light on, and accept that a hand signal system is not a charming quirk but the thing that makes an evening possible at all.
Three dynamics, all with hearing people, all of which worked once we had built the vocabulary. It takes about a month. After that it becomes ordinary, and two of them told me afterwards it had made them better at checking in generally, which I thought was a nice thing to hear and also quite funny.
What I want is something long, with structure and service in it. I am steady, I keep to arrangements, and I do not vanish. I am blunt in writing, which people occasionally read as annoyance, and it usually is not.
Not looking for someone who will speak to whoever I am with instead of to me, which happens more often than you would think. Not looking for a person who wants to learn sign in order to have a project. And not looking for anything that depends on a word said quietly in the dark, because I will not hear it and I will not guess.
