I should say at the start that I am not in a hurry, and that I do not respond well to being hurried.
I am fifty two, I live and work in Houston, and my professional life is spent making sure that written things are accurate. That habit has followed me into everything else. The dynamics I have kept have all been built on correspondence: instructions written out, replies written back, a record we both keep. If that sounds dry to you then we would waste each other's time and you should stop reading here.
What I am looking for is somebody who finds precision satisfying rather than tedious. Protocol, service, standards that are actually enforced. Someone who reports back and does not need reminding twice. I care a great deal more about how you write to me than about what you look like, and I will not be asking for a photograph in the first month. I am in this for a long arrangement or not at all. Twice now people have told me they wanted structure and meant that they wanted a weekend. That is a perfectly good thing to want. It is not what I am doing.
Practicalities: a house, a settled life, and no interest in changing either. Discretion matters to me for ordinary professional reasons, and Houston is large enough that this has never been difficult.
