Somebody posts in February about wanting a fresh start. Somebody posts in June about how quiet it has gone. Come September there is always one very cross post about people who do not reply. I could set a calendar by this board and I have been reading it for eight years, which I accept makes me part of the furniture.
Thirty four, Baltic Triangle, switch, eight years in, and nothing that has lasted beyond about fourteen months.
I am not cynical about it. If anything the opposite, because in that time I have watched two couples meet on here and still be together, and one friendship of mine come out of a first message that went nowhere romantically at all.
What I want is one person. Either direction, decided between us and not by a label, and I am genuinely easy about which. What I am fussy about is that it is not a trial run. I have been somebody's experiment twice and both times it was fine and both times I could feel the clock running.
Not looking for a series of first meetings. Not looking for anybody who is here for three months before they move away for work, which I understand happens and which I cannot do again. Not looking to be anyone's introduction to the whole subject.
