Doing this since the nineties, and still not bored of it

Looking for
one person for a long friendship that becomes something
Experience
Thirty years, both sides, three long relationships and no drama.
Around
Wirral, Liverpool

I have been at this for thirty years and the thing that surprises people is that I have almost no stories. No disasters, no dramatic fallings out, nobody who turned out to be a nightmare. Three long relationships, all of which contained this, all of which ended kindly, and one of which I still get a birthday card from.

Forty five, Wirral, switch, and it has always been about half and half without either of us having to schedule it.

I think the reason it has been so quiet is that I am slow, I ask a great many questions, and I have never in thirty years gone home with somebody I had not talked to properly first. That is not a boast about my judgement. It is that I am not remotely spontaneous and it has accidentally kept me out of trouble.

What I want now is what I have always wanted. One person, a friendship that goes on long enough to be real, and then whatever we both fancy building out of it. I am warm, I talk far too much, and I am told I am a good listener despite that.

Not looking for anything quick. Not looking for a person who needs a fixed role from me, since I have never had one and I am not starting at forty five. Not looking to be anybody's first anything.
