Fifty seven, divorced twice, and remarkably cheerful about it

- Looking for
- one dominant man for something serious, at long last
- Experience
- None formally. Thirty years of it happening by accident.
- Around
- Sefton, Liverpool
Two marriages, both ended, neither of them anybody's fault in the way people mean when they ask. I am not bitter, I am not broken, and I am not here because I have run out of options. I am here because I have spent thirty years having versions of this happen by accident inside relationships and I would like, once, to do it on purpose.
Fifty seven, Sefton, and my house is finally my own, which at my age feels like a genuine achievement.
My experience is odd. On paper it is none, because I have never negotiated anything or used any of the words. In practice both of my husbands were, in their different ways, the ones who decided things, and I was happiest when that was clear and miserable when it was not, and it took me until my fifties to work out that this was information rather than a character flaw.
What I want is a dominant man who will be explicit about it. Rules, expectations, a bit of ceremony, and somebody who will tell me plainly when I have got it right, because I have never once had that.
Not looking for a man who wants to move in, and I say that lightly but I do mean it. Not looking for anybody who cannot manage a proper conversation before we meet. Not looking to be rushed at all.
