Four years ago one of us answered a post very like this one and expected nothing at all to come of it. We have been together ever since, we bought a house in the spring, and the whole thing started with an unpromising message sent at one in the morning.
We are saying that because the last few times we have read this board it has been full of people who have decided it is hopeless. It is not hopeless. It is slow, and small, and most things go nowhere, and then occasionally they do not.
Thirty two and thirty, south Liverpool. He leads, I do not, and it was in the first conversation we ever had.
What we are after now is people. Friends, mostly. Nobody we know does any of this and we would like to be able to talk about our own lives out loud occasionally, instead of editing every story about our own week before it leaves the house. If a connection came out of it with one person, we are open to that and in no hurry, and we would want to be friends first anyway. We are easy company, we have a spare room and a decent kettle, and between us we can talk for four hours about almost nothing.
Not looking for anything quick. Not looking for a couple who want to swap, which is a nice thing and not ours. Not looking to give anybody advice, because we got extremely lucky and we know the difference between luck and expertise.
