Here on a two year posting and saying so before anything starts

- Looking for
- something real that both of us know has an end date
- Experience
- Nine years, mostly in Madrid.
- Around
- central and west, London
My visa and my contract both run out in the spring of the year after next, and I am not going to pretend otherwise at month four when somebody has become attached.
Thirty four, from Madrid, here for work, living somewhere between central and west because the company chose it and I have not got round to arguing. Nine years in this at home, where I had a settled circle and a dynamic of three years that ended when I took this job. What I have found here is that London moves fast and commits slowly, which is the reverse of what I expected. People will meet you within the week and still be vague about anything continuing after a month. At home it was the other way round.
I would like something proper for the time I have. Ongoing, exclusive if that suits us both, with a known end. In my experience a fixed horizon makes people more honest rather than less, because there is no point in pretending. Switch, and where I sit depends entirely on the other person, which I know is an unsatisfying answer and is nevertheless true. The timetable thing is real too. I eat late, I am useless before ten in the morning, and I have not adapted in eight months. If your evening finishes at half nine we will struggle.
