Actor, waiting tables, and my week changes with a phone call

- Looking for
- a dominant who can hold structure through an unstable calendar
- Experience
- Three years, two short dynamics, both undone by my schedule.
- Around
- the Westside, Los Angeles
On Monday I can tell you what my week looks like. By Wednesday it is a different week. I get a call, I move four shifts around, I drive to the other side of the county for eleven minutes in a room, and everything I promised anybody is suddenly negotiable. That is the job and I chose it.
Twenty nine, the Westside, submissive, three years in. Two dynamics, both of which ended with a version of the same sentence about reliability, and both times the other person was right.
So here is what I have learned to ask for. I need structure that does not depend on being in the same room. Daily things. Written reports. Rules that survive a week where I am at work for sixty hours and then a week where I am at work for nine. If what you want is a fixed Thursday evening for the next two years, I will fail you, and I would rather say so now than perform a reliability I cannot deliver.
What I can promise is that I do not disappear. If I have to move something I will say so the moment I know, in words, with an alternative attached. The last two people got that from me and it still was not enough, which is fair enough.
I am not interested in anyone who thinks acting is a phase I will grow out of. I am also not interested in being anybody's audition. I have enough of those.
