My weekend is Friday, which nobody has ever found convenient

Looking for
somebody whose free days do not fall on a Saturday
Experience
Thirteen years, both sides, one dynamic of six.
Around
downtown, Los Angeles

I work Sunday through Thursday. My Saturday is Friday and my Sunday is Saturday morning, by which point everybody I know is busy with the thing they arranged on Wednesday and did not think to include me in.

Forty seven, downtown, switch, thirteen years in. One dynamic that ran six years and ended when she moved back east. I mention the schedule first because it is the actual obstacle. Nobody has ever objected to anything else about me in the first month. What they object to eventually is that a Saturday evening is the one thing I cannot give, and it is the one thing almost everybody wants.

What I would like is something with a fixed weekly shape. A Friday that belongs to us. Structure that runs through the working week in small ways. I am a person who does well with routine and badly with spontaneity, and I stopped treating that as a flaw to be corrected some years ago.

I go both ways. In practice I lead more often than I follow now, which was not true ten years ago, and I have no theory about why.

I am not going to change my schedule. I have been with this employer a long time and the hours are the price of a job I actually like. If Friday is impossible for you we are not a match, and I would rather establish that in message two than in month two.
