One of us is trans, and we want people who are normal about it

- Looking for
- another couple for friendship and possibly more, in that order
- Experience
- Seven years together, both of us five or six years in this.
- Around
- the east side, Los Angeles
We have had three conversations with other couples this year and all three turned, eventually, into a discussion about her body, conducted mostly with me, while she sat there. Two of those people believed they were being respectful. The third was simply curious and had not the sense to keep it to himself.
Thirty four and thirty seven, the east side, together seven years. She is trans and has been out for longer than she has known me. We are both experienced, roughly five and six years each, and we are new at nothing here except meeting other couples.
What we want is another couple where nobody is a subject of interest. People who ask what we like and what we do not in the same tone they would use with anybody else, and then talk about something else.
We want friendship first, honestly and not as a formula. We have exactly two friends who know this about us and both of them live in other states. The isolation is a larger problem in our life than any unmet appetite.
If it grows into something more, we would both be glad. If it does not, we will have gained people to eat with on a Sunday, which at this point we would take gratefully. If your first question is going to be a medical one, please save it. The answer is no.
