I use crutches and this city is built on a staircase

I can walk, with crutches, for about ten minutes at a time on the flat. This city is not flat. Roughly half the places anybody has ever proposed to me involve a hill, a staircase, or a door somebody has to hold, and I have become very tired of being the person who has to ask.
Twenty eight, switch, up the hill, which is a joke I make and also a real problem I chose because the building has a lift. Four years in this, two dynamics, one of which is now one of my closest friendships.
What I need from anybody is not carefulness. It is homework. Check the route. Ask me before deciding, once, and then remember the answer. The people who have done this well made it entirely unremarkable within a fortnight. The people who did it badly turned every outing into a small logistical drama in which I was the difficulty.
What I want is a long dynamic, both directions, with structure. Rules, service, an evening a week. Kneeling is out and standing for any length of time is out, and neither has ever limited anything that mattered. I lead more often than I follow and I am told I am bossy about it, which is fair.
Not looking for anyone whose interest includes my body as a subject in itself. Not looking for a person who will carry things for me unasked. Not looking to be told about somebody's aunt, which happens with a frequency I could not have predicted.
