There is always somebody at home and there always will be

- Looking for
- somebody who can host, or who is content with afternoons
- Experience
- Twelve years, both sides, most of it in other people's flats.
- Around
- the east of the city, Lyon
My children live with me and my mother is in the flat below, which means that in twelve years of doing this I have never once hosted anybody, and that is not about to change. Everything I have done has happened somewhere else, which puts me at the mercy of other people's housing in a way I have come to resent slightly.
Forty eight, switch, east of the city. The children know nothing, will know nothing, and none of this comes anywhere near the house. That is absolute and it is the first thing I tell anybody.
What I have is weekday afternoons, which are genuinely free, and roughly one evening a week. What I need is somebody who can host, or who has a workable arrangement of their own, because two people who both live with family produce an extremely short conversation.
I lead slightly more than I follow. I want something long and structured, with rules that run through a week and do not depend on us being in the same place, because mostly we will not be. I am extremely reliable about the time I do have and completely useless about the time I do not.
Not looking for anyone who will suggest a hotel, which is not a moral objection and is simply not the life I want. Not looking for a person who needs weekends. Not looking to explain my domestic arrangements more than once, which is why they are all in the first two paragraphs.
