The thing I have to say first is the thing most people close the tab over. In person, once a fortnight, occasionally three weeks if work is bad. That is the honest number and it has been the honest number for a decade.
Forty, Stockport, dominant, twelve years in. My job takes most of what I have and I am not going to pretend otherwise to get more replies, because I did that once and spent five months disappointing somebody by degrees.
What happens in the two weeks between is the actual dynamic. Fixed obligations, a report I expect at a set time, rules that hold whether or not we are in the same room, and a proper conversation on a Sunday evening that I do not move for anything. The last person I did this with called it the best structure she had ever had, and we saw each other twenty six times a year.
So I am posting for somebody who counts a dynamic in what it asks of them rather than in hours in the same postcode. Those people exist. Two of them have written to me before and I got in my own way.
Not looking for anyone who wants spontaneity, because I do not have any to give. Not looking for daily chatter, which I am poor at. Not looking for a person who will agree to this now and be quietly unhappy about it by November.
