We have organised everything for twenty years and would like an invitation

- Looking for
- people who will invite us to something for a change
- Experience
- Thirty four years together, thirty of them in this, both retired now.
- Around
- Didsbury, Manchester
For two decades we were the couple who organised things. If it happened, one of us booked it, chased people about it, made the food and washed up afterwards. We enjoyed it. We are also sixty and sixty three now, and we have both noticed that we have never once in thirty years been the ones who got asked.
Didsbury, together thirty four years, thirty of them with this openly between us. We are not looking for a partner, a third, or an arrangement of any kind. That side of our life is settled and has been for a very long time.
What we would like is to be included in something we did not have to build. Dinner at somebody else's house. A walk with people who understand what our marriage actually contains. Being sent a message that says come on Saturday rather than us sending it.
We are good company, we are not remotely fragile, and we have watched this world change three or four times over, so we have stories and a certain number of opinions that are probably out of date by now. We are also perfectly happy to be the youngest people in a room or the oldest, and after thirty years neither is a novelty.
Not looking for anything physical with anybody, and we want to be blunt about that because a post from a couple our age gets read a particular way. Not looking to be anybody's curiosity about how people our age manage. Not looking to end up organising it, which we will if nobody stops us.
