Looking for
a dominant with the patience for someone starting over socially
Experience
Six years, all of it abroad, none of it here.
Around
the city centre, Manchester

I spent six years working in Germany and all of my experience of this comes from there. Different vocabulary, different assumptions, different pace, and a culture around negotiation that I found much easier and now miss more than I expected to. I came back in January for family reasons and I know precisely nobody here.

Thirty three, submissive, living in the centre, six years in and starting from nothing socially.

The specific thing I have found hard is not the language, obviously. It is that things I took for granted are not taken for granted here. Over there, the practical conversation happened first and was treated as unremarkable admin. Here I have twice had somebody act as though asking direct questions about limits was killing the mood. It is not the mood. It is the reason the rest of it is possible.

So I am looking for a dominant who works the way I am used to. Plain conversation up front, everything named, and no expectation that I will read between lines I cannot see yet. I am solitary, I work in software, and my week is entirely my own after six.

Not looking to be told that I am overthinking it. Not looking for someone who wants to skip the boring part, which is the part I actually like. Not looking for anything that assumes I know how things are done around here, because I plainly do not.
