Eleven times in the last year I have had three good messages and then silence. Not a no. Not a polite ending. Three messages of real conversation, sometimes long ones, and then nothing at all. I have counted, which I accept says something about me as well.
Fifty six, Stockport, submissive man, sixteen years in. Two dynamics, one of five years and one of three, both ended for ordinary life reasons and both ended with a conversation rather than a disappearance.
I am not writing this to complain at anybody in particular. I am writing it because I want to say the thing I actually value most, which is not any activity and not any style. It is that when something is not working, you tell me, and I will do the same for you. That is the entire request. I would rather be turned down clearly on a Tuesday than left wondering for a fortnight.
What I want past that is a dominant woman, an ongoing arrangement, and something with structure in it that survives contact with two busy lives. I am practical, I am handy, and I am at my best when there is something to be responsible for.
Not looking for anything sudden. Not looking for someone who wants a lot of daily contact, because I am poor at it and would rather admit it. Not looking to be anybody's fifth message that never came.
