I leave the office somewhere between eight and ten most weeknights. That is not a temporary situation during a busy quarter. It is the job, it has been the job for nine years, and I have chosen it with my eyes open.
Thirty six, Brickell, dominant, eleven years in.
What that leaves is Saturdays, most Sundays, and a fair amount of attention at odd hours in between. It is not much and I am not going to inflate it. What I have learned is that it works with somebody whose own life is full, and fails badly with somebody who wants a presence rather than a person.
What I do well is the part that does not need me in a room. Written structure, tasks, standards, a great deal of thought about what somebody actually needs and how to build it into their week. Two of the best months I have had involved seeing each other four times and speaking every day.
What I want is one submissive, long term, who reads a weekend as the centre of things rather than as the leftovers.
Please do not write to tell me my priorities are wrong. I am aware. I have had that conversation with two therapists and one ex, and it is not a conversation I want to have again with somebody I have not met.
