I like how fast this city is, and I am not apologizing

Half the posts on this board are complaints about how quickly things move here. I love it. It is the reason I moved down and it is the reason I am not going back, and I am tired of being made to feel shallow for saying so out loud.
Twenty seven, South Beach, switch, four years in.
What I want is honest and specific. I want to meet, in person, quickly, after enough conversation to establish that we both know what we are doing and neither of us is a problem. I do not want a fortnight of texting to build anticipation. I have never once found that anticipation survived contact with an actual person.
Where I am not casual at all is safety. Public first, always. Clear negotiation, which I would rather do over a table than in messages. Somebody else always knows where I am. Fast and careless are two different things and people conflate them constantly, usually while explaining to me why their own approach is more mature.
I go both ways and I like meeting people who do too. What I am open to is a regular thing, or a series of separate ones, or friendship. I do not need to know which it is before we have met.
If you need six weeks of correspondence before coffee, I respect it. I am simply built the other way.
