We are fifty eight and sixty two and we have been together nineteen years, married for the last eleven of them. This has been part of our life for most of that, at home, privately, and the two of us have never done anything with anybody else.
Fort Lauderdale, both semi retired, one of us still working two days a week out of stubbornness.
What we would like is friends. That is the whole post and we are aware it is an unusual thing to advertise on a board like this. We have plenty of friends generally. What we do not have is a single couple who know this about us, and after nineteen years of it being entirely sealed inside a marriage, that has started to feel like a small loneliness.
We would like to have people over, or go out, and be able to talk about it plainly. If anything else ever came of it, we would both need a long time and a lot of trust first, and we are not writing this in the hope of it.
He leads. I do not. Neither of us is interested in changing that or in being told it should be more balanced, which has been said to us twice by people who had known us for an hour.
We are slow, we ask questions, and we would want to meet several times before anything at all.
