My English is slower in writing, so please be patient with me

I came here from Venezuela four years ago. My English at work is good, because at work I say the same forty things every day. My English for this is much slower, and writing this post has taken me three evenings and two dictionaries.
Thirty four, Coral Gables, submissive, seven years in, all of it in Spanish with people who understood everything I meant without me explaining it.
That is the part nobody warned me about. I know exactly what I want. I know the words in my own language and I have spent four years discovering that the translation is not clean, that some of it sounds harder in English than I intend, and that a joke in Spanish is only strange in English. Twice I have had a conversation go wrong because a word I chose was too strong.
So what I am looking for is somebody with patience for that. If you also speak Spanish, that would be easier and I would be very glad. If not, I only ask that you check what I mean rather than assume, and that you do not treat slow writing as slow thinking.
What I want is a long dynamic, with rules, with somebody older than me, who is exact about things. I am serious, I am reliable, and I am funnier in person than this post can show.
