Every August this city empties. Half of everyone I know goes somewhere cooler, the rest stop replying, and the whole board goes quiet until October like a shop with the shutters down. I have decided to post in the middle of it precisely because whoever reads this in the next three weeks is by definition somebody who stayed.
Twenty six, Wynwood, submissive, two years in and only one short dynamic to show for it.
I am here all year. I cannot afford to be anywhere else and my family is here. What that means is that I have spent two summers watching things start in November and die in July, and I would like to try it the other way around: start now, in the worst month, when there is nothing to do and nobody to see and the only thing to build is the thing itself.
What I want is a dynamic with real structure, tasks, and somebody who will be exacting with me. I am young and I know very little in practice, and I would rather say that than perform experience I have not got.
If you are reading this in October when everything is fun again, that is fine too. But I will admit I am hoping to hear from somebody who is also sitting in the air conditioning right now with nothing happening.
