Storm season is my busy season, so I disappear from June

I handle claims. From June until the end of November I am on call, working long weeks, and occasionally driving somewhere at short notice for a fortnight because a roof came off a few hundred houses. From December to May I have an ordinary job with ordinary hours and a great deal of free time.
Forty eight, Fort Lauderdale, submissive, thirteen years in. One dynamic that ran eight years and ended when she moved to be near her mother.
So my year is lopsided and there is nothing to be done about it. What I have found is that the winter is when everything gets built and the summer is the test. Twice I have had promising things start in February and quietly go flat by August, because a person who liked the version of me with time did not much like the version of me that cancels.
What survives it, I think, is structure that does not need me present. Standing expectations. Reports. Small things I do daily whether I am home or in a motel three hundred miles away.
I am steady, I am not dramatic, and I have never once ghosted anybody in my life. If you are the sort of person whose own summer is busy anyway, we might suit each other very well. If you want a fixed weekly evening all year round, I cannot give you that and I would rather say so in the first paragraph than the fifth.
