It is the oldest request on any board of this kind and it has a bad reputation that it has thoroughly earned. So rather than dress it up as something more original, here is the version with the awkward parts left in.
Thirty seven and thirty nine, Brickell, together eleven years. He leads, I do not, and what we are looking for is one woman who wants to be part of that arrangement.
The reason this usually goes wrong, as far as we can tell from the two that did not go wrong for us, is that the couple treats the third person as an accessory to a marriage rather than as somebody with her own reasons for being there. Both of ours lasted over a year, both of them ended because she wanted something we could not give, and we are still in touch with one of them.
So the terms are hers as much as ours. She talks to me alone, more than once, before anything happens. She is not required to want both of us equally or in the same way. Nothing is agreed on the first evening or the second. And she can end it in one sentence at any point without a discussion about it.
