We moved here last summer for one job that turned into two, and we live in Queens in an apartment slightly too small for the amount of time we spend inside it.
Twenty six and twenty seven, together three years, and we found this part of ourselves early and together, which we understand is unusually lucky. Where we came from, the community was small enough to just be a group of friends. Here it is enormous and we cannot find the door. Everything we have come across is either a large anonymous crowd or something that appears to require already knowing somebody.
So: we are looking for people. Couples, singles, anyone, of any age. We would like to be invited to things and eventually to invite people to things ourselves. We are good company, we cook far too much food, and we turn up when we say we will.
If a connection comes out of it, we are open to that. She switches, he is submissive, and neither of us is in any hurry about it.
Not looking for anyone who wants to meet only one of us. Not looking for people who will treat us as the new couple to be shown things. Not looking for anything that begins with somebody explaining what we ought to want at our age, which has already happened twice.
